At the UN 68th Session Women's Empowerment Global Drug-Free World Conference 2024 in New York City, OVOM's President, Renee Besseling, was honoured with the Ambassador of Peace Award. The Foundation for a Drug-Free World, the Americas Chapter, cited her exemplary humanitarianism and leadership in informing communities worldwide about the dangers of drug abuse and its resulting consequences, including violence.
During this ceremony, she also received a Certificate of Recognition for Promoting a Drug-Free World from Senator George M. Borrello of the New York State Senate 57th Senate District, on behalf of Cojep International/FDFWA.
